Różne zdarzenia losowe powodują, że właścicielom kociąt i szczeniąt przychodzi zmierzyć się z bardzo trudnym wyzwaniem: ich karmieniem. Osobnym zagadnieniem wydaje się przyczyna odrzucenia przez matkę swojego potomstwa. W niniejszym opracowaniu uwaga zostanie skupiona na sposobie żywienia osieroconych szczeniąt i kociąt w taki sposób, aby ten etap nie przyczynił się do powstawania problemów w ich dorosłym życiu.
