Streszczenie
W opracowaniu zestawiono podstawowe informacje na temat specyfiki żywienia rosnących psów ras dużych. Omówiono zapotrzebowanie na składniki dostarczające energię, białko, tłuszcz i składniki mineralne. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na możliwość wykorzystania karmy domowej w żywieniu tych psów, wskazując na niebezpieczeństwa wynikające ze stosowania nieprawidłowo zbilansowanej diety. Zaprezentowany materiał jest tematycznie związany z poprzednim artykułem, dotyczącym żywienia rosnących psów ras małych.

Abstract
The paper provides basic information on the nutrtional needs of growing large breed dogs, taking into consideration components which deliver energy, protein, fat and minerals, The possibilties of using home-made diet in nutrition of these dogs were thoroughly considered, pointing to harmful effects on animal health following the use of an improperly balanced diet. The paper content is closely connected to the previous study on the nutrition of the growing small breed dogs.
