Resort rolnictwa poinformował wczoraj, że premier Mateusz Morawiecki wyznaczył Mirosława Welza na stanowisko Głównego Lekarza Weterynarii. Zastąpi on w tej roli Bogdana Konopkę.
dr n. wet. Mirosław Welz został powołany na nowego szefa Głównego Inspektoratu Weterynarii 17 maja, a 18 maja minister rolnictwa Grzegorz Puda wręczył mu akt powołania.
dr n. wet. Mirosław Welz studia na Wydziale Weterynaryjnym Akademii Rolniczej w Lublinie ukończył w 1992 roku. Związany był z wojewódzkim Inspektoratem Weterynarii w Krośnie. W 2006 roku obejmował stanowisko Wojewódzkiego Lekarza Weterynarii. Autor wielu publikacji naukowych w tym z zakresu epidemiologii weterynaryjnej, z którą związana była również jego praca doktorska, którą obronił w 2011 roku na Wydziale Medycyny Weterynaryjnej SGGW.
Od początku listopada 2019 do połowy marca 2021 r. pełnił rolę zastępcy Głównego Lekarza Weterynarii.
