Streszczenie
Kulawizna i choroby racic stanowią poważny problem w hodowli bydła mlecznego. Choroby racic mogą być bezpośrednią lub pośrednią przyczyną eliminacji krów ze stada. Zaburzenia motoryczne wpływają na stan ogólny organizmu, powodując straty dla hodowcy z powodu spadku mleczności, obniżonej płodności czy występowania zaburzeń metabolicznych. Kompleksowa opieka, monitorowanie i szybkie diagnozowanie rodzaju choroby umożliwia zastosowanie skutecznego leczenia, zmniejsza straty mleczności i obniża koszt obsługi weterynaryjnej. Może to pośrednio wpływać na zmniejszenie odsetka eliminacji krów ze stada.
Abstract
Lameness and hoof diseases are serious problems in dairy cattle breeding. Hoof diseases may be a direct or indirect cause of the culling of cows from the herd. Locomotor disorders affect the general condition of animals, leading to losses for the farmers due to decreased milk yield, reduced fertility or the occurrence of metabolic diseases. Comprehensive care, monitoring and diagnosis of the type of hoof disease allows for effective treatment, and, subsequently, to the reduced both milk loss and costs of veterinary services. This may indirectly reduce culling of cows from the herd.
