Streszczenie
Niedobór miedzi (hipokupremia) u bydła mlecznego powoduje zaburzenia w układzie ruchu, szczególnie w małych gospodarstwach, gdzie pasze są często źle zbilansowane. Miedź jest niezbędna do prawidłowego funkcjonowania kości, stawów i metabolizmu żelaza. Jej brak prowadzi do deformacji, stanów zapalnych stawów i problemów z poruszaniem się u krów. Objawy, takie jak odbarwienia sierści czy biegunka, nie zawsze są oczywiste, co utrudnia diagnozę. Autorzy podkreślają konieczność regularnego badania poziomu miedzi we krwi, by zapobiec przewlekłym schorzeniom ruchowym.
Abstract
Copper deficiency (hypocupremia) in dairy cattle may result in locomotor system disorders – especially in small farms, as there is higher risk of usage of invalidly balanced feed. Copper is crucial for proper functions of bones, joints and iron metabolism. Copper deficiency may lead to deformations, arthritis and motion disorders in cattle. As some symptoms such as discoloration of coat, diarrhoea, are not always obvious, there can be significant problems with diagnostics. The authors of the following article would like to highlight the necessity of regular monitoring of copper levels in blood, to prevent chronic movement system disorders.
