Streszczenie
Na efektywność zwalczania zapaleń gruczołu mlekowego wpływa wiele czynników. Do najistotniejszych należą: czas rozpoczęcia terapii mastitis, rozpoznanie bakteriologiczne i antybiotykowrażliwości, użycie antybiotyków dobrze penetrujących wymię, stosowanie terapii uzupełniającej. Nie należy zapominać o wszystkich możliwych immunosupresorach, które również będą upośledzały proces leczenia (BVDV, BHV, Coxiella b., stres cieplny, źle zbilansowana dawka pokarmowa itd.). Do podjęcia decyzji o możliwie skutecznym efekcie leczniczym potrzebna jest wiedza o obecnym patogenie w wymieniu.

Abstract
Many factors can influence the effectiveness of fighting mastitis. The most important are the time of starting mastitis therapy, bacteriological and antibiotic sensitivity, the use of antibiotics that penetrate the udder well, and the use of supplement therapy. One should keep in mind all possible immuno-suppressants, which also impair the treatment process (BVDV, BHV, Coxiella b., heat stress, poorly balanced nutrition etc.). The recognition of infectious factor in the udder is necessary to to select effective treatment.
