Choroby układu oddechowego cieląt to nawracający problem. Rok rocznie – szczególnie w okresie wiosennym i jesiennym – my, lekarze weterynarii, zmagamy się z tym samym, uciążliwym i zarazem bardzo kosztownym problemem, jakim są zapalenia płuc u cieląt. Średnio 25% (od 14 do 38%) cieląt w pierwszym roku życia choruje przynajmniej raz, z objawami ze strony układu oddechowego.

Bovine respiratory disease syndrome is the most recurrent problem in dairy calves. Every year, especially during spring and autumn,vets are struggling with the same, tough and expensive problem, which is BRD. On average 25% (14-38%) of the calves in their first year of life develop respiratory symptoms.
