Streszczenie
Klasyfikacja chorób związanych z PCV2 oraz ich nazewnictwo ulegają zmianom w miarę coraz lepszego zrozumienia biologii tego drobnoustroju. Obecnie największe znaczenie mają wielonarządowa choroba związana z PCV2 (PCV2-SD) oraz zakażenia bezobjawowe (PCV2-SI). W artykule przedstawiono możliwe przyczyny braku skuteczności szczepień ochronnych, takie jak: interferencja z przeciwciałami matczynymi, czynniki immunosupresyjne, zmienność genetyczna i antygenowa wirusa czy też błędy związane z zarządzaniem stadem.

Abstract
The classsification and nomenclature of the diseases caused by PCV2 changes with the growing knowledge of the virus biology. At present PCV2 systemic disease (PCV2-SD) and subclinical infection (PCV2-SI) are the two most important medical conditions. The paper presents possible reasons for the inefficacy of vaccination, such as interference with maternal antibodies, immunosuppressive factors, genetic variability, antigenic variation of the virus or failures in herd management.
