Streszczenie
Biegunka poodsadzeniowa (PWD) jest problemem dla wielu hodowców świń w tym wymagającym okresie, jakim jest czas po odsadzeniu. Związana z namnażaniem Escherichia coli jest chorobą dotykającą świnie w ciągu pierwszych 2 tygodni po odsadzeniu, charakteryzującą się nagłą śmiercią lub biegunką, odwodnieniem i spowolnieniem wzrostu u prosiąt, które przeżyły (1). Choroba ta ma znaczenie ekonomiczne właśnie ze względu na występujące objawy i koszty leczenia (1, 2).

Abstract
Post-weaning diarrhea is a problem on many pig farms. The disease, caused by the Escherichia coli, affects pigs during the first two weeks after weaning and causes sadden death or diarrhea, dehydratation and retarded growth of other piglets. The disease causes economic losses due to the symptoms and treatment costs.
