Streszczenie
Pojęcie „torbielowate ciałko żółte” funkcjonuje w rozrodzie bydła od co najmniej drugiej połowy minionego wieku. Mimo że nazwa ta uznawana jest za historyczną przez wielu lekarzy weterynarii nadal jest stosowana jako określenie jednej z dwóch morfologicznych odmian ciałka żółtego u krów – jamistego ciałka żółtego. W niniejszym artykule podjęto się próby skonfrontowania zmieniających się na przestrzeni lat poglądów dotyczących tej struktury lutealnej.

Abstract
The term „cystic corpus luteum” has been present in cattle reproduction since at least the second half of the last century. Although this name is considered historical, many veterinarians are still using it to describe one of the two morphological varieties of the corpus luteum in cows: the cavernous corpus luteum. This article attempts to confront views on this luteal structure that have changed over the years.
