Pogłowie bydła w czerwcu 2023 r. liczyło 6353,7 tys. sztuk, i było niższe o 1,4% w stosunku do czerwca ubiegłego roku. Zmniejszenie liczebności stada bydła ogółem wynikało ze spadku pogłowia wszystkich grup wiekowych stada za wyjątkiem bydła powyżej 2 lat (bez krów).
Z kolei według wstępnych danych pogłowie świń w czerwcu 2023 r. liczyło 9436,3 tys. sztuk, wykazując w porównaniu z analogicznym okresem ubiegłego roku spadek o 1,8%. Redukcja pogłowia wystąpiła w czterech grupach świń, w szczególności w grupie trzody chlewnej na ubój, gdzie wyniosła 4,8%.
Na początku czerwca 2023 r. pogłowie trzody chlewnej wynosiło 9436,3 tys. sztuk i było niższe o 174,9 tys. sztuk (o 1,8%) od stanu notowanego w analogicznym okresie 2022 roku, a w porównaniu z liczebnością stada świń w grudniu 2022 r. – niższe o 187 tys. sztuk, tj. o 2,0%.
