Sezonowość występowania ektopasożytów u bydła wymusza wdrożenie właściwego postępowania profilaktyczno-leczniczego w odpowiednim czasie. Większość pasożytów może być wektorami groźnych chorób, które bez kontroli mogą spowodować poważne straty ekonomiczne. Znajomość biologii ektopasożytów i zastosowanie sprawdzonych produktów leczniczych w odpowiedni sposób pozwoli ograniczyć populacje ektopasożytów do poziomu akceptowalnego.

Seasonality of ectoparasites in cattle necessitates the implementation of appropriate prophylactic and therapeutic procedures in a timely manner. Most parasites can be vectors of serious diseases that, without control, can cause serious economic losses. The knowledge of ectoparasitic biology and the use of proven medicinal products in an appropriate way will reduce the populations of ectoparasites to an acceptable level
