Streszczenie
Kokcydioza bydła jest jednym z głównych problemów zdrowotnych u starszych cieląt i młodych osobników (do 13. miesiąca życia). Ważnym czynnikiem ryzyka jest utrzymywanie zwierząt w grupach, co powoduje zanieczyszczenie środowiska inwazyjnymi oocytami. Jest to zatem znaczący problem zdrowotny w stadach zwierząt, generujący znaczne straty ekonomiczne. W artykule przedstawiono: charakterystykę rodzaju Eimeria, biologię pasożyta, epidemiologię choroby, przebieg kliniczny inwazji oraz podstawy terapii i profilaktyki kokcydiozy.

Abstract
Bovine coccidiosis is one of the major health problems in older calves and cattle youth up to the 13 months of age. An important risk factor responsible for the occurrence of this invasion is keeping animals in large group and, as a consequence, the contamination of the environment with invasive oocystes. The disease affects large herds and generates significant economic losses. The article presents the characteristics of protozoa of the genus Eimeria, its biology, the epidemiology of the disease, the clinical course of the invasion as well as the principles of the therapy and prevention of bovine coccidiosis.
