Streszczenie
Leptospiroza, występująca powszechnie na całym świecie, jest ważną chorobą infekcyjną u ludzi i zwierząt. Jest ona szczególnie niebezpieczna dla młodych zwierząt oraz samic będących w ciąży, stanowiąc jednocześnie zagrożenie dla opiekujących się nimi ludzi. Głównymi objawami są ronienia samic oraz rodzenie się martwych lub słabych noworodków. W artykule omówiono występowanie zakażeń bakteriami z rodzaju Leptospira u bydła i świń oraz sposób ich diagnostyki i leczenia.

Abstract
Leptospirosis is an important, globally distributed zoonosis. Young animals and pregnant females are especially vulnerable, at the same time posing a threat to their caretakers. In animal abortion, stillbirth or weakness of newborns are the common symptoms of the disease. The paper discusses leptospira infections in cattle and swine, also considering a diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
