Streszczenie
Martwica niedokrwienna strzyków (ang. ischaemic teat necrosis, ITN) to nowa, wciąż słabo poznana jednostka chorobowa, która może być przyczyną dużych strat ekonomicznych dla producentów mleka. Najczęściej choroba rozpoczyna się od zmian u podstawy strzyków, gdzie skóra staje się sucha i mniej elastyczna, ulega pogrubieniu i hiperpigmentacji, a zmianom często towarzyszy charakterystyczny zapach. Zmiany te mogą rozprzestrzeniać się w kierunku strzyka i/lub w kierunku skóry wymienia, powodując u zwierząt silny dyskomfort i ból. Schorzenie najczęściej obserwowane jest u krów w pierwszej laktacji, szczególnie w pierwszych miesiącach po wycieleniu.

Abstract
Ischaemic teat necrosis (ITN) is a new, still poorly understood disease entity that can cause major economic losses for milk producers. Most often, the disease begins with the appearance of lesions at the base of the teats, where the skin becomes dry and less elastic, it gets thickened and hyperpigmented, this being often accompanied by a characteristic smell. The changes may spread to the teat and/or to the udder skin, causing severe discomfort and pain of the animals. The disease is most often observed in the first lactation cows, especially in the first few months after calving.
