Streszczenie
Z racji na swój wysoki potencjał regeneracyjny mezenchymalne komórki macierzyste zyskały zastosowanie w dziedzinie leczenia schorzeń ortopedycznych koni. Narząd ruchu konia ze względu na swoją skomplikowaną budowę anatomiczną i niezwykle złożoną biomechanikę staje się bardzo podatny na wszelkiego rodzaju urazy i schorzenia. W artykule opisane są metody pozyskiwania i charakterystyka właściwości biologicznych mezenchymalnych komórek macierzystych szpiku kostnego i tkanki tłuszczowej oraz ich możliwe zastosowanie terapeutyczne w hipiatrii.

Abstract
Due to their high regenerative potential mesenchymal stem cells have gained popularity in the treatment of equine orthopedic diseases. Because of extremely complicated anatomy and biomechanics, the equine musculoskeletal system becomes very susceptible to injuries and orthopedic diseases. The article describes methods of obtaining and characterizing the biological properties of bone marrow and adipose tissue derived mesenchymal stem cells, as well as their possible therapeutic application in equine medicine.
