Streszczenie
Występowanie przepuklin u świń przyczynia się do obniżenia efektywności produkcji poprzez zmniejszenie dobowych przyrostów i wykorzystania paszy z jednej strony, a z drugiej – poprzez zwiększenie zachorowalności, jak i prawdopodobieństwa większych strat zwierząt. Nieleczone przepukliny mogą też przyczynić się do obniżenia wartości rzeźnej. Celem prezentowanej pracy jest przedstawienie niechirurgicznego rozwiązywania problemu występowania przepuklin pachwinowych i mosznowych u prosiąt. Opisana technika wydaje się warta rozpropagowania w stadach produkcyjnych ze względu na niskie koszty, jak i prostotę wykonania.

Abstract
Hernias in pigs decrease production efficiency as they cause lower gains, lower feed consumption and higher morbidity and mortality. Untreated hernias may decrease slaughter value of the affected pigs. The objective of this paper was to describe the nonsurgical treatment of inguinal and scrotal hernia in young pigs. The method is simple and inexpensive, and thus worth recommendation in commercial herds.
