Streszczenie
Celem artykułu jest podkreślenie wagi użycia nowych strategii immunoprofilaktyki w zarządzaniu stadem i ich roli w kontroli występowania chorób zakaźnych bydła. Różnice między użyciem komercyjnych szczepionek oraz autoszczepionek zostały ujęte wraz z ich wadami i zaletami. Tekst prezentuje dwa przykłady alternatywnych strategii szczepień. Wskazujemy w nim jako rozwiązanie użycie autoszczepionek na przykładzie leczenia mastitis wywołanego zakażeniem Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract
In the paper is emphasised the importance of using new strategies of immunoprophylaxis in herd management and its role in preventiing bovine infectious diseases. Differences between autogenous and commercially available vaccines were presented with their advantages and disadvantages. The paper presents two examples of different vaccination strategies.
The authors suggest a solution basing on a case presentation of mastitis caused by Staphylococcus aureus infection treated with the autogenous vaccine.
