Gipsy syntetyczne używane są od lat dziewięćdziesiątych w leczeniu złamań, jednakże ich stosowanie ma korzystne efekty również w podkuwnictwie, przede wszystkim przy ochwacie, uszkodzonych ścianach kopyta oraz odbudowie niskich piętek. Nieprawidłowe ich zastosowanie może przynieść skutki niepożądane, dlatego w niniejszym artykule opisano szczegóły czynności zapobiegających ich wystąpieniu.

Abstract
Synthetic casts have been used since the 1990s in the treatment of bone fractures. Also application of a cast to the hoof can give great results, especially in laminitis, compromised hoof walls and the reconstruction of low heels. As their incorrect use may have adverse effects, this article provides details on how to prevent them.
