Streszczenie
Ektopasożyty swoją działalnością wywołują u żywicieli: ból, dyskomfort, redukcję poboru paszy, reakcje alergiczne, a także są wektorami wielu chorób oraz sprzyjają wystąpieniu wtórnych zakażeń, które obniżają produkcyjność i generują ekonomiczne straty w hodowli zwierząt. Celem artykułu jest opisanie najczęściej odnotowywanych jednostek chorobowych, wpływających znacząco na produkcyjność bydła i małych przeżuwaczy.

Abstract
Ectoparasites cause pain, discomfort, lower appetite and allergic reactions in their hosts, also being vectors of many diseases, and facilitate secondary infections leading to lower productivity and generating economic losses on animal farms. The aim of the paper is to describe the most common disease entities influencing cattle’s and small ruminants’ productivity.
