Kulawiznę definiuje się jako odchylenie od prawidłowego sposobu poruszania się. Przyczyny kulawizn u świń mogą być zarówno zakaźne, jak i niezakaźne. W terenie możliwości diagnostyki są ograniczone w porównaniu z małymi zwierzętami. Straty związane z tym schorzeniem to głównie osłabienie wzrostu zwierząt, problemy z rozrodem, szybsza wymian sztuk stada podstawowego. W celu zmniejszenia problemów związanych z kulawizną wymagane jest holistyczne podejście do tematu. Celem artykułu jest krótka charakterystyka wybranych zakaźnych przyczyn kulawizn u świń.

Abstract
Lameness is defined as a deviation from the correct way of moving. The causes of lameness in pigs can be infectious or non-infectious. Unlike in small animals, the diagnostic possibilities in pigs are limited. The main losses connected with this disease result from slower growth, reproductive problems or the earlier culling of the primary herd. In order to reduce problems associated with lameness a holistic approach is required. The article contains brief characteristics of the selected infectious causes of lameness in pigs.
