Niedobór biernej odporności siarowej prowadzi u cieląt do poważnych konsekwencji zdrowotnych, generujących straty. Surowice odpornościowe, mimo że nie zastąpią odporności siarowej, mogą być przydatne podczas odchowu cieląt. W artykule omówiono możliwości i ograniczenia zastosowania surowic odpornościowych.

Abstract
The deficiency of colostral passive immune transfer in calves leads to serious health consequences which generate losses. Although immune sera cannot be a substitute for colostral immunity, it may be useful during calves rearing. The paper discusses the possibilities and limitations of the use of the immune sera.
