9 stycznia 2025 r. Rektor Szkoły Głównej Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego w Warszawie, prof. dr hab. Michał Zasada, wręczył powołania do pełnienia funkcji dyrektorów instytutów i ich zastępców oraz kierowników innych jednostek organizacyjnych w kadencji 2025-2028.
Zgodnie ze Statutem SGGW, kandydaci na dyrektorów zostali wcześniej pozytywnie zaopiniowani przez Senat Akademicki. Wśród nich pojawili się również kandydaci na stanowisko dyrektora Instytutu Medycyny Weterynaryjnej i jego zastępce.
Funkcję dyrektora Instytutu Medycyny Weterynaryjnej objął prof. dr hab. Marcin Bańbura, a jego zastępcą została dr hab. Magdalena Chłopiecka-Słomińska, prof. SGGW. Pełnią oni swoje obowiązki od 1 stycznia 2025 r.
