Główny Lekarz Weterynarii informuje o potwierdzeniu piątego ogniska pryszczycy na terytorium Słowacji w dniu 30 marca 2025 r. Chorobę wykryto w gospodarstwie utrzymującym ponad 3500 sztuk bydła w kraju bratysławskim, w okresie Malacky, przy granicy z Austrią. Ognisko pojawiło się poza obszarami dotychczas objętymi ograniczeniami.
W związku z sytuacją podjęto natychmiastowe działania – rozpoczęto szczepienia oraz likwidację stada. Czechy zaostrzyły kontrole graniczne, a w Polsce Inspekcja Weterynaryjna koncentruje się na zabezpieczeniu granic, monitorowaniu przesyłek zwierząt oraz kontrolach zdrowia zwierząt w gospodarstwach.
Trwa procedowanie rozporządzenia Ministra Rolnictwa i Rozwoju Wsi, które wprowadzi zakaz przywozu zwierząt parzystokopytnych i produktów z terytorium Słowacji. Wcześniej wprowadzono już zakaz importu z Węgier i części Austrii.
